Cruise Control

Hi Folks,

 

Well, I've bought one. A 1997 2.3 Ghia X with 51,000 on the clock. Excellent condition all round, so I'm pretty happy with it.

 

Only problem is that the cruise control doesn't appear to work, or I'm doing something wrong.

 

Any suggestions?

There have been a few threads on this problem. The 2.3 uses a Vacuum powered system as opposed to the electronic system on the 1.9 wheezel. Do a search on

"cruise control" make sure you select "posts over 30 days old" and you should find some help.

OK, thanks for that. I have had a look at all the posts and it seems pretty simple. Except for one small thing . . . I can't find it.

 

OK, so I'm a bit dumb. Can someone point me in the right direction where I can find the cruise control part.

 

R reg (don't know if it's a mark I or II or whatever)

R reg is a MK 1. The vacuum unit is in the drivers side front wing.
